Alison Marion Lohman is a movie and TV actress born in Palm Springs, California on Sept 18th, 1979. Soon after finishing high school, at 18 years of age, she went to LA to try as an actress.
The rise to the famous was difficult especially when the movies she appeared in went straight to TV or weren't A grade movies. She appeared in some episode for TV series 7th Heaven, Safe Harbour, Tucker and Pasadena (13 episodes in '01-'02). Her movie career was possibly better with roles in White Oleander (2002), Matchstick Men (2003), Where the Truth Lies (2005), Flicka and Delirious (both in 2006) and lastly Drag Me to Hell (2009). For her work in Drag Me to Hell, she received 2 nominations for Best Actress by Saturn Award and Detroit Film Critics Society. Her work on her movie White Oleander got her a nomination as the Best Newcomer by Phoenix Film Critics Society.
The year of 2002 was specifically good for her, as she also scored Young Hollywood Award as well as Supporting Actress of the Year. Her 12 years and counting in the industry are paying off.
On a personal note, she's been married for almost a year now to Mark Neveldine, who's a director. She's into rock music, looks way younger than her current 30 years of age (this helped her score a role in Matchstick Men), is actually naturally blonde-haired and looks after the environment any way she can.
Alison Lohman also did ballet and dance as has a bit of Irish in her. She loves travelling. On numerous occasions, thanks to her acting skills, she got out of receiving fines while driving as she can start crying immediately as the officers approach her. She was also concerned about her height and didn't like the fact that she's short. Luckily shoes with platforms and pants were really popular when she was growing up.
